Kent Campbell is an Internet Marketing professional based in Ventura, California. He is immediate Past-President of the Rotary Club of Ventura-South.
His prior positions include that of CEO, President, Vice President, Chief of Operations, and General Manager of various design and development companies both public and private. Among these are Exit Media, Evit_Caretni, and Rare Medium. He founded the Internet service consultancies Exit Media, and Evit_Caretni; which he later merged with the public firm Rare Medium, a global, award winning branding, incubation, advertising and web services firm (Nasdaq: RRRR, now SkyTerra).
He graduated from the Art Center College of Design in 1993 Mr. Campbell founded Exit Media in shortly thereafter, a brand development organization focused on the entertainment industry and based in Burbank, California. Exit Media was merged with Evit_Caretini in 1996. First as Creative Director, and later President and CEO, his responsibilities included Internet and traditional marketing strategy, design, organizational strategy, operational oversight, business development, and the creation and development of competency centers in both the United States and India. His clients included WebTV, Citibank, TCW and NCR, GoTo.com (currently Overture), Weider Publications, four divisions of Disney, and package/identity design for Bandai America.
While with Evit, Mr. Campbell taught evening Web development classes at UCLA Extension.
In 1999 Mr. Campbell merged Evit_Caretni with Rare Medium. His primary purpose with Rare Medium was to start, manage, or turn-around design and technology offices. While with Rare he founded the design and development mission of the Orange County office. His next assignment was at the corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas where as Vice President and National Head of User-Experience Design for Rare Medium and Creative Director of the Dallas office. His direct reports included all Creative Directors worldwide including the United States, Canada, Singapore, and Great Britain.
In order to assist in the consolidation efforts of the company, Mr. Campbell took the additional role of General Manager of the Los Angeles hub, with management oversight of three west coast design offices.
Kent Campbell is currently an Internet marketing professional helping companies increase their marketing ROI using various programs including increasing search visibility, PPC programs, opt-in 'house list' email programs, blogging, and more.
He gives technology learning presentations, speaks on design, and is the immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Ventura-South. He is a member of the Bequest Society, and a Paul Harris Fellow. Mr. Campbell is a teacher, fluent on the Macintosh and PC platforms, experienced in public relations, advertising, brand development, web and interface development. He currently lives near Ventura, California with his wife Lisan and two sons. |
